Description
Wireshark is a packet sniffer and a network protocol analyzer tool. It helps to
capture network packets and understands the structure of different networking
protocols.
Instructions
1. You should carry out your experiments from any network
conditions.(College/Home)
2. Provide snapshots of the traces in the report.
3. If something is missing/incorrect in the problem definition, clearly mention
the assumption with your answer.
4. Capture the packets from Facebook or any source of your choice.
Question
Calculate the following statistics from your traces while performing experiments
at 2 different times of the day: Throughput, RTT, Packet size, number of packets
lost, number of UDP and TCP packets, number of responses received with
respect to one request sent. Report the observed values in your traces,
preferable using tables.
● Submit your assignment with your collected traces in a zipped form on
CS359@iitp.ac.in.
